Type: Water Resistant Sorbothane is designed to significantly reduce the polymer's natural tendency to absorb water. It can be used in applications where there is periodic exposure to water. It is not recommended for long-term immersion in water. This formulation of Sorbothane also has a lower plasticizer transfer rate reducing the amount that it may discolor surfaces that are in direct contact with the polymer.

Notes: This is old stock. Over time, 50 durometer Sorbothane gradually cures to a slightly firmer durometer than the original specification. These sheets are now closer to 60 durometer but still retain their pliability and vibration-damping properties.
