These things work Review by Amazon

Sorbothane is the real deal for reducing vibration and mechanical noise. They will not completely silent a washer/dryer, but WILL reduce the vibration and mech. noise substantially. Mouse pads and/or rubber pads don't work as well. If you're in doubt, research Sorbothane and why it's been around for a while. The anti-walk pads don't have a fabric side to them, so they stick in place. The 'original' version has a fabric-like section stuck to the Sorbothane and it can slide on a floor to aid in placing the pads to the washer/dryer. Both work great.

I inherited a used GE washer/dryer set that apparently is kind of known for having a problem with walking/thumping/etc. Since we have a very small house, any noise from the laundry area is inescapable - these make the washing machine nearly silent. I hadn't expected them to work as well as they do. My only complaint about them is that the anti-walk pads really grip the floor well, so they are a little difficult to install in a tight space with a very heavy washing machine....but it's worth it once you get them set up properly.

They work!!! After years of trying several different methods to ease the vibration and walking of my front load washer I tried Silent Feet and they work! Even though my dryer doesn't move I ordered the 2 pack so they would be of equal height. But, my dryer is also quieter now, a bonus.

I have a Samsung front load washer and drier on the second floor of our home. During the spin cycle, the washer would shack the second floor and crack the plaster on the walls and ceiling downstairs. I'll have to say, I was a little skeptical of these and thought they were just snake oil, but WOW - they really work great. My bride was thrilled that pictures no longer fall off the wall when the washing machine is running!! I'm a little disappointed in the price (there must be some serous profit margin in these things), but they work great. 1 star for price and 5 for effectiveness. If your house shakes when you do wash, these are for you. If I had to do it again, I would buy two of the green packs that have felt on two of the four pads. The felt bottom makes sliding the unit into place achievable.

If you can get past the price, these are great and do what they say.

Silent Feet Work! Review by Amazon

This product flat works. We recently moved from a home with the laundry in the basement to one on the main floor. Our front load washer would "walk" on the level concrete basement floor. No amount of leveling (used Internet tips) stopped this. Now we have the laundry pair on an expensive tile floor and next to nice wood cabinets. We could not have the "walking" and noise. Consumers report indicated no real improvement in their testing of many products. Yet as a mechanical engineer, I understood the "layering" of different frequency response materials to isolate and mitigate energy transmission. On moving day I followed the instructions and had no additional adjustments to make. The only downside was that the company indicated that Amazon was offering a better price on the Combo Pack and this was not true. Same price as the manufactures web page, yet free shipping and ease of ordering made Amazon my choice. We could not be happier with the results (and we are picky people)

Who ever invented these, I want to thank you. They are a little tedious to install, but worth the effort. Exercise patience and persistence when installing, and you won't be sorry.
My new highest capacity LG washer and dryer are so quiet with them on even up to 1000rpm on high spin, on porcelain tile floors, and no walking when I had a King Size Comforter go out of balance either.
I try to research everything I buy in multiple online forums before I buy them to get the best products. And this is definitely one of the best.

The anti-walking feet do exactly that. My washer doesn't walk anymore, and the vibration is much less noticable. I should have purchased a different washer. I don't think any product will completely stop the problem. Overall, good product and I would recomend it to a friend.

The fight in the laundry room! Review by Amazon

I have a newer energy efficient GE front-load washer and dryer. We bought the pair because of their high ratings by consumer reports. I added the pedestal stands to save our backs but soon discovered that the washer tended to vibrate radically when in the spin mode.

We have porcelain tile in our laundry room that helped to enable the new washer to dance all over the room. Our old top-loader danced too, but nothing like this new unit. I called GE factory service to service the washer. It started to move so much it was bouncing off the dryer and surrounding wall. It sounded like the washer and dryer were fighting a champion round and our laundry room was the ring each time we washed a load. I figured this could not be good for the life span of the expensive appliances. The GE service tec told us that all front loaders moved around and that the pedestals he saw on washers always made it worse. He recommended removing the stands to reduce the movement but commented that our tiled floors were the source of the problem.

Rather than discard the stands or re-tile the laundry room I looked into a alternate solution. The Silent Feet Combo Pac seemed like the most reasonable solution. I was somewhat skeptical that they would work but figured it was worth a shot.

Silent feet worked as promised. The sticky washer pads were difficult to put on and need some muscle power. Get some help if you need some. My petite wife and I were able to manage the task with me doing the heavy lifting while she reached under the washer to place the pads in place. The dryer was somewhat easier as the pads would slide with some heavy pushing. Now our washer is quite and it stays in place. The added height is nice too.

I highly recommend this option if you have noisy our vibrating laundry appliances. They are worth the investment.

This has solved the problem with our washing machine virbration on the floor of
the laundry room. Before it moved all over the floor and nearly ran into the wall.
It was great to get a set for the dryer too! I would recommend this to anyone
that has a vibration problem with either a washer or dryer.

I was skeptical these expensive little blobs of licorice jello would stay put AND handle the high-speed drying spin of our Bosch front-loading washing machine. But they really did both, immediately, and continue to do so here these many loads later.

Save some money and DON'T listen to your spouse if you are told "it makes sense" to buy two sets so that the dryer sits at the same height. (Ummm, there are many materials that can be fitted and shoved under the dryer to accomplish that, cough-cough.)

Anyway, as others here have mentioned, it's a little tricky to plant the back two feet nearest the wall. Took several tries involving me tipping the washer forward, and my wife then moving each of the feet around so that the washing machine feet would line up. They have to be dead center, or the vibration-dampening potential is reduced. If not centered, the off-center weight of the washer compresses the side of the disc on the floor in an asymmetrical manner. It can be explained mechanically, but just trust me.

These things DO stick where they're put down. Not by adhesive, but by the texture of the material they are made from. But the only way it can stick like that is if the floor is really clean. Allow yourself some time to vacuum, wipe down, and even use some rubbing alcohol to get everything off the surface of the tile (our set is in the mudroom; if you're on a wooden floor just make sure it's a glossy clean surface). Both floor and discs should be dry.

Worth half the money we paid (forget the dryer set) and highly recommended.
