It's pretty much magical Review by Amazon

Saved my sanity - the neighbor upstairs had a fan that was generating a low frequency vibration. Yoga mats did not do anything. This thing removed 100% of the vibration. It's pretty much magical (Posted on 12/11/2017)
Great deal for vibration sheet Review by Amazon

I used this "rubber" sheet to mount a fresh water pump so that it would be less noisy. The pad was 12" x 12" x 1/4" as described and came without any wrinkles etc. The sheet is not a rubber block, so keep in mind you will likely also need something to mount under it, if using it for a similar purpose. I used a piece of foam from the big box store. (Posted on 12/11/2017)
Excellent for turntable isolation Review by Amazon

I have my Sumiko Pro-Ject RM 1.3 Turntable in High Gloss Red set up on a MDV-R12 by Middle Atlantic Products. The side rack/table is solid but if bumped into hard the needle would skip.

I placed this damping sheet underneath the turntable and the difference is literally night and day. I can seriously pound my fist on top of the table and the needle does not even move. Turntable hum is now at a minimum.
I highly recommend this stuff and well worth the 30 bucks. (Posted on 12/11/2017)
Magical Review by Amazon

Great for various projects around the house. I bought it to place under my speakers so they wouldn't rattle the shelves they're on. I also have some under my desk fan so that it doesn't vibrate my desk. Finally, I have some under my external hard drives so they're not jostled when I (or the pets) bump the desk.

A little bit of this magical stuff goes a long way. Simply cut out little squares or strips. After all of the above projects (3 speakers, 1 fan, 4 external hard drives) I still have over half of the sheet left. (Posted on 12/11/2017)
5.0 out of 5 starsUsed to reduce sound from mechanical equipment Review by Amazon

This product does exactly what is claimed. I used it to isolate all of the connections for the hydronic heating system in my house which had been attached to plywood covering the utility room wall and abutting a bedroom. Even with insulation in the wall and drywall, the vibration sound was amplified by the plywood diaphragm, so I cut pieces of this foam to fit between each mount and the plywood. The sound reduction as a result of the vibration dampening was much better than I had hoped, and the material was very easy to use in this fashion. The sound on the bedroom side has been reduced to a very tolerable level. Great material for a variety of purposes. (Posted on 12/11/2017)
Using an isolation base for pump Review by Amazon

I used this as an isolation base below a new pool pump. The pool equipment at my house is located right outside the master bedroom wall and anytime the old pump switched on the thrum was easily noticeable. It was something you could tune out if the pump was on 24/7, but distracting with each switch on. The pump was an older single speed model, so I upgraded the pump to a variable speed model and cut this pad to fit below it. The new pump has less vibration to begin with so its may not be a fair comparison. This product does seems to help. You can place your hand on the pump and feel its vibrations, but less so on the concrete pad. Certainly on the lowest two speed settings the pump is inaudible inside, which was my goal. I am not sure of this product's durability outside with pool water so I will update this if there is degradation. (Posted on 12/11/2017)
and the way it vibrated when it kicked on sounded like an elephant in heat Review by Amazon

I had a water pump for a Coke machine set in a cabinet, and the way it vibrated when it kicked on sounded like an elephant in heat. Not really the vibe you want in a coffee shop.

It works great, totally shuts down the vibration. My only issue is that over time the weight of the pump pushed its legs through the damping sheet and then it didn't really work. So basically it works great when it works, and needs replaced when it doesn't. (Posted on 12/11/2017)
