Sorbothane Isolation Vibration Square from Isolate It Review by Amazon
-
Purchase two of these planning to cut them in to 4s. They were used for isolation vibrations between a pair of DIY monitors and their hollow bases, (since have been filled).
I believe, acoustically, there were improvements, however the pads, cut into 4s were very sticky and almost glued the two units together. It took two people to pull them apart from their bases.
But, I do believe they are working well.
I recommend them. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Calm the centrifuge beast... Review by Amazon
-
We have a centrifuge that spins @ 3380rpm sitting on a bench top. The centrifuge itself is quiet, however, the induced vibration from the countertop & nearby door is annoying at best. Slipped 4 of these pads underneath it and vibration is completely tolerable even for our nurse using the phone next to the device. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Unusual application Review by Amazon

I live in an apartment and I play piano on an x-stand. Well, my neighbors complained because they would hear the percussive sounds of me playing keys through the floor. I bought one of these pads and cut it in 4 pieces to isolate the x-stand. No neighbor complaints now. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Speaker Isolation Review by Amazon

I bought these to help isolate my monitors from my desk. I've used them as the bottom layer of my isolation system (these and cork sandwiches) and they have worked wonders. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Very effective for dampening telescope vibration Review by Amazon
-
I'm using this under the my telescope tripod. Very effective for dampening Vibrations (It used to take 6 seconds to dampen after touching the scope, now it takes about 1 second). I cut this into 4 pieces of 2x2 inches each, and placed a furniture coaster between the tripod legs and the Sorbothane (works best if compression is about 25%). Thinner pieces are good for high frequency vibration, thicker pieces also remove lower frequencies. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Great noise and vibration isolation. Review by Amazon

Used 2 isolate plates to isolate a boat autopilot motor from the deck. Works great. No noise or vibration has been transferred to the deck after using these. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Great product! Use in bathroom as impact bumper between sliding glass shower doors and their metal frame. Was able to cut to size and adhere with double-sized tape (purchased separately). (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Super-soft sound isolation Review by Amazon

I bought these pads to dampen the vibration/noise from a couple of external hard drives connected to my computer. Problem solved. These are dense rubber pads with sticky surfaces. Work great. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Work great for isolating speakers. Review by Amazon

Love these things. I put them under my sub and center channel to isolate them (as they are stacked) and I couldn't be happier.

Perfect vibration pads - has reduced/eliminated vibrations for my display case Review by Amazon
-
I got these for a scientific case that holds rock samples for display but whenever the door nearby was shut it would rattle and occasionally samples would fall off of their stands (risking breakage). I am extremely pleased with these vibration isolation pads - ever since I put them under the case I have had no more rattling and no more samples falling off of their display stands. While not cheap, they do a great job and I would happily purchase them again. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Reduced noised caused by attic gable vent fan... Review by Amazon

Cut this into 4 sections to deal with vibration caused by a gable vent fan up in the attic... dramatic different once I had this in place. Definitely absorbs the vibration. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Works very well for silencing noisy server hard drives Review by Amazon
-
Bought this for a WD NAS enclosure with 2 HDDs in it. I had this enclosure on a "floating cabinet," which is obviously hollow on the inside. The enclosure was vibrating at the resonant frequency of the floating cabinet, so the entire thing would vibrate loudly whenever I was using the HDDs.
Just one of the 2 pads completely stopped the vibrations from transmitting to the cabinet. I now have a spare to use if I need it (for now, they're both under the enclosure). Also arrived very well packaged and exactly as described. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

Worked for me Review by Amazon
-
Used to mitigate vibration of two neighbor's Westingate street AC condenser units - even 1 piece cut in 4 and placed under corners helps a lot.
I keep in reserve the option of buying another set and stacking it on top of the 1st one.
The material feels like very thick sticky gel which keeps shape under heavy AC unit and dampens the vibration. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

HVAC Application Review by Amazon
-
I purchased four of these pads and cut them each into four squares. I then installed them under a 4 Ton York package HVAC unit located on my roof. There was a significant reduction in vibration noticed in the house over the Wagner blue isolation pads I had before. Vibration was further reduced by stacking a second set of Sorbothane vibration isolation pads on top of the first. The material sticks to itself easily, so it is like I have used 1" thick pads instead of 0.5". There are several that appear to be stressed more than the others, so I am going to purchase another set to help distribute the weight more evenly. Previously, the vibration from the HVAC would wake me up at night. We hardly notice the vibration anymore. (Posted on 12/11/2017)

All the reviews that recommend using some cling wrap or plastic to isolate these ... Review by Amazon
-
Cut this two pack into eight 2.5" squares to mount under my large floor standing speakers. ~75lbs each.
These are fairly squishy, instantly noticed much less vibration in the floor. Over all sound didn't change enough to note except for bass, it did seem tighter.
All the reviews that recommend using some cling wrap or plastic to isolate these from equipment/floor are dead on, I stuck these straight to the cabinet and then used a layer of plastic wrap on the floor side. The cabinet side is pretty much permanent they are REALLY stuck on there!!!! (Posted on 12/11/2017)

works great Review by Amazon

These were very effective in damping vibrations from a mini washing machine in an apartment - one of my neighbors gets too easily fussy about noise, even not so loud, and usually not so loud activity. These really helped avoid complaints. I used these in combination with heavier, thicker 4 inch square damping blocks for regular sized washers, dryers, pumps, compressors, etc. While they work great used by themselves, they're also fantastic when used in combination with thick to thinner other dampers.
A little pricey, but I don't know what it takes to manufacture them, so I just go in to buying them expecting to pay what they've typically been costing. All in all I'm very happy with purchase. Plus the neighbor hasn't complained, so I guess that's a good recommendation too. (Posted on 12/11/2017)
